GRIT Butchering Workshop
The YWCA's GRIT Program, in collaboration with the Missoula Urban Demonstration Project (aka MUD), is offering a 3-hour, hands-on butchering workshop, which is open to girls, women, and gender diverse individuals aged 14+*! The workshop is instructed by the Lead Tool Librarian at Missoula Urban Demonstration Project and gives participants the chance to get hands-on experience quartering and butchering a deer killed during this hunting season. Women’s Law Caucus Silent Auction
The University of Montana Women’s Law Caucus will host its annual silent auction to support YWCA Missoula’s Pathways program. This event is free, open to the public. GUTS! (Girls Using Their Strengths) is currently accepting new volunteers for Spring 2020 Our volunteers facilitate a weekly afterschool or lunch group with young girls, non-binary, and gender diverse youth. They lead activities focused on healthy relationships, body image, identifying personal strengths, and developing a community service project. GRIT High School Welding Workshop
GRIT is kicking off the 2020 season with a 20-hour welding workshop! Participants will begin by learning about welding equipment, safety practices, and basic skills. This spring, in addition to our weekly open support groups for survivors of domestic violence, Pathways will offer a 10-week, closed support group for people of all genders who are survivors of sexual assault. The group will run on Wednesday evenings, 6:30- 8 PM. A support group can provide survivors with a safe environment to share strengths and struggles, and to work toward healing and growth.
