GRIT Butchering Workshop
November 16 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The YWCA’s GRIT Program, in collaboration with the Missoula Urban Demonstration Project (aka MUD), is offering a 3-hour, hands-on butchering workshop, which is open to girls, women, and gender diverse individuals aged 14+*! The workshop is instructed by the Lead Tool Librarian at Missoula Urban Demonstration Project and gives participants the chance to get hands-on experience quartering and butchering a deer killed during this hunting season.
There are 12 spots available. Preference will be given to youth participants (14-18 years old), so snag a spot today! There is no fee for youth participants, but those aged 18+ are asked to contribute a $10 donation if possible.
When: Saturday, Nov. 16th from 1-4PM
Where: The Missoula Food Bank & Community Center (1720 Wyoming Street)
GRIT serves girls, non-binary and gender diverse people and any person who feels that they would benefit from a safe and encouraging learning space and/or may feel intimidated or unwelcome in the traditionally-male-dominated skilled trades.
